Pinochle can be played with either two, three, or four players. The object of the game is to accumulate points by either winning tricks, or by melding a combination of cards. The meld of the Jack of Diamonds and the Queen of Spades is known as “Pinochle”, and scores 40 points.

Who Can Sign Up?
Paid shifts are available exclusively to existing Town of Wappinger employees, including seasonal employees.
Volunteer shifts are open to anyone who would like to get involved and support our community.
Each available shift will clearly indicate who is eligible to sign up.
Signing Up for a Shift
When you sign up, you are signing up for a shift, not a specific job or task. Your specific assignment will be determined when you arrive and report for your shift. This allows us to assign staff and volunteers where they are needed most and helps ensure each event runs smoothly.
Choose as Many Shifts as You’d Like!
Sign up for one shift, several shifts on the same day, or help out across multiple days! You can continue signing up for available shifts until we reach the number of staff and volunteers needed for each event.Please double-check the dates and times of your shifts before completing your registration.
How the Sign-Up Process Works
Our system works much like an online store:

This is a curated fair - all items are to be hand-crafted – no direct sale items. NEW IN 2026:Last year our fair ended up being the same day as the rescheduled date of another popular local fair. A number of vendors did not notify us that they wished to cancel their registration with us to join that fair until we attempted to collect payment on the payment deadline two weeks before the fair. By the time we found out about the cancellations, many of the vendors on wait list were unavailable. A $15 NON REFUNDABLE Application fee will be paid upon registration. If you are selected to participate, you will be billed for the remaining $15 of the $30 total Vendor Space Fee.Spaces are 5' deep by 6'. We will do our best to accommodate returners who have a favorite space, however we do not guarantee anyone their choice of space. We try to layout our fair to not have like vendors right next to each other to the best of our ability.To complete your application, you will need to include a photo of your work and also your New York State Tax Certificate of Authority. Your Social Security number is NOT a business tax ID number. You will also need to present your New York State Tax Certificate of Authority to staff upon your arrival. Sharing of spaces is not allowed (no ‘guests’). Each vendor is to apply for their own space. Those not in compliance will not be approved in the future.Set up will be Saturday, November 14 -6pm to 8pm and Sunday, November 15 7:30am-10am; booths must be completely set up before the 10:00 am opening. Breakdown and cleanup no earlier than 3p.m. Two chairs per vendor will be provided but please know that we do not provide tables. Senior Art Class - Senior Art Instruction
“Art is for Everyone.” It’s fun! It’s colorful! It’s challenging! Improves observation! Promotes self esteem! Improves hand and mind coordination! It’s creative! It’s expressive! Many enjoy just looking at artwork. Others wish they could draw or paint to capture a special scene on paper or canvas. How many have said “I can’t draw a straight line?” Or “I could never paint a picture?”
Come to our Tuesday morning art class and try your hand at learning something new. All you need to bring is a sketch pad and pencil. Learn to draw using pencil, charcoal and other medium. Learn to use pen and ink, brush and ink, pastel, watercolor colored pencil. Learn how color can be used and how one color effects another. Learn to paint with acrylic, oil paint and watercolor. For those more advanced, learn new techniques, hone those skills. Explore the works of other artists, the Old Masters, Cartoonists, Modern Art, Ancient Art and Design.

“Art is for Everyone.” It’s fun! It’s colorful! It’s challenging! Improves observation! Promotes self esteem! Improves hand and mind coordination! It’s creative! It’s expressive! Many enjoy just looking at artwork. Others wish they could draw or paint to capture a special scene on paper or canvas. How many have said “I can’t draw a straight line?” Or “I could never paint a picture?”
Come to our Tuesday morning art class and try your hand at learning something new. All you need to bring is a sketch pad and pencil. Learn to draw using pencil, charcoal and other medium. Learn to use pen and ink, brush and ink, pastel, watercolor colored pencil. Learn how color can be used and how one color effects another. Learn to paint with acrylic, oil paint and watercolor. For those more advanced, learn new techniques, hone those skills. Explore the works of other artists, the Old Masters, Cartoonists, Modern Art, Ancient Art and Design.
