Senior Center Pinochle - Senior Center Pinochle
Pinochle is a big favorite here. If you don’t know how to play, we have a group of Seniors who would love to teach you. It’s a fun card game that is played with a unique deck of only 48 cards, which contains two of each suit of the Nines, Tens, Jacks, Queens, Kings, and Aces, there are no 2 through 8 rank cards. Pinochle can be played with either two, three, or four players. The object of the game is to accumulate points by either winning tricks, or by melding a combination of cards. The meld of the Jack of Diamonds and the Queen of Spades is known as “Pinochle”, and scores 40 points.

Senior Art Class - Senior Art Instruction
“Art is for Everyone.” It’s fun! It’s colorful! It’s challenging! Improves observation! Promotes self esteem! Improves hand and mind coordination! It’s creative! It’s expressive! Many enjoy just looking at artwork. Others wish they could draw or paint to capture a special scene on paper or canvas. How many have said “I can’t draw a straight line?” Or “I could never paint a picture?”
Come to our Tuesday morning art class and try your hand at learning something new. All you need to bring is a sketch pad and pencil. Learn to draw using pencil, charcoal and other medium. Learn to use pen and ink, brush and ink, pastel, watercolor colored pencil. Learn how color can be used and how one color effects another. Learn to paint with acrylic, oil paint and watercolor. For those more advanced, learn new techniques, hone those skills. Explore the works of other artists, the Old Masters, Cartoonists, Modern Art, Ancient Art and Design.

Senior Citizen Bridge Club - Senior Citizen Bridge Club
Come play Bridge on Tuesdays at the Schlathaus Park Recreation Building, located on the corner of Myers Corners and All Angels Hill Road. Bridge is played by four players in two competing partnerships, with partners sitting opposite each other around a table. Millions of people play bridge worldwide in clubs, tournaments, online and with friends at home, making it one of the world's most popular card games, particularly among seniors. For purposes of scoring and reference, each player is identified by one of the cardinal directions and thus North and South play against East and West.

Semper Fi Mothers' Quilting Group - Semper Fi Mothers' Quilting Group
The Semper Fi Parents group of the Hudson Valley have a group that holds their meetings weekly at the Town of Wappinger Recreation Building at Schlathaus Park, located at the corner of Myers Corners and All Angels Hill Road. They have a group of quilters that meet to make quilts, quilts for the local military heroes, service members that were KIA and also we send quilt to the hospital in Germany through Soldiers Angels. This wonderful organization is always looking for folks to help. They need volunteers of all skill levels to take on the different tasks involved in the process of making quilts.

Please join us for our annual Trunk or Treat and Golden Pumpkin awards.
Golden Pumpkins will be awarded to kids ages 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-13 for cutest, funniest, scariest, and most original costumes. Also, we will have an award for best family, so make sure everyone joins in on the fun!We are offering pre-registration! It is not required, but it will speed up your check in process the day of the event!As always, we can't have a trunk or Treat without trunks! We are looking for volunteers to come and decorate their trunks and hand out candy to our little trunk or treaters. We let the adults vote for best Trunk, so you could win the golden pumpkin for best Trunk (that one happens to come with a $50 gift card attached). We do ask that if you are bringing a trunk, please register below. This event has been getting bigger and bigger every year. Help us grow even more!There is no charge to participate in this event, but you do have to “ check out” at the end of your sign up process to finalize your registration.

Senior Art Class - Senior Art Instruction
“Art is for Everyone.” It’s fun! It’s colorful! It’s challenging! Improves observation! Promotes self esteem! Improves hand and mind coordination! It’s creative! It’s expressive! Many enjoy just looking at artwork. Others wish they could draw or paint to capture a special scene on paper or canvas. How many have said “I can’t draw a straight line?” Or “I could never paint a picture?”
Come to our Tuesday morning art class and try your hand at learning something new. All you need to bring is a sketch pad and pencil. Learn to draw using pencil, charcoal and other medium. Learn to use pen and ink, brush and ink, pastel, watercolor colored pencil. Learn how color can be used and how one color effects another. Learn to paint with acrylic, oil paint and watercolor. For those more advanced, learn new techniques, hone those skills. Explore the works of other artists, the Old Masters, Cartoonists, Modern Art, Ancient Art and Design.

Come play Bridge on Tuesdays at the Schlathaus Park Recreation Building, located on the corner of Myers Corners and All Angels Hill Road. Bridge is played by four players in two competing partnerships, with partners sitting opposite each other around a table. Millions of people play bridge worldwide in clubs, tournaments, online and with friends at home, making it one of the world's most popular card games, particularly among seniors. For purposes of scoring and reference, each player is identified by one of the cardinal directions and thus North and South play against East and West.

Pinochle can be played with either two, three, or four players. The object of the game is to accumulate points by either winning tricks, or by melding a combination of cards. Semper Fi Mothers' Quilting Group - Semper Fi Mothers' Quilting Group
The Semper Fi Parents group of the Hudson Valley have a group that holds their meetings weekly at the Town of Wappinger Recreation Building at Schlathaus Park, located at the corner of Myers Corners and All Angels Hill Road. They have a group of quilters that meet to make quilts, quilts for the local military heroes, service members that were KIA and also we send quilt to the hospital in Germany through Soldiers Angels. This wonderful organization is always looking for folks to help. They need volunteers of all skill levels to take on the different tasks involved in the process of making quilts.

Want to learn a fun strategy game? Come to Mahjongg! Mahjongg is a tile-based game that originated in China in the mid-1800s and is usually played by four people. Pinochle is a big favorite here. If you don’t know how to play, we have a group of Seniors who would love to teach you. It’s a fun card game that is played with a unique deck of only 48 cards, which contains two of each suit of the Nines, Tens, Jacks, Queens, Kings, and Aces, there are no 2 through 8 rank cards. Pinochle can be played with either two, three, or four players. The object of the game is to accumulate points by either winning tricks, or by melding a combination of cards. The meld of the Jack of Diamonds and the Queen of Spades is known as “Pinochle”, and scores 40 points.

This is a curated fair - all items are to be hand-crafted – no direct sale items. Spaces are 5' deep by 6' long. Each space is $30, which will be assigned as vendors are approved.To complete your application, you will need to include a photo of your work and also your New York State Tax Certificate of Authority. Your Social Security number is NOT a business tax ID number. You will also need to present your New York State Tax Certificate of Authority to staff upon your arrival. Sharing of spaces is not allowed (no ‘guests’). Each vendor is to apply for their own space. Those not in compliance will not be approved in the future.We will be taking applications until October 18 if there are spaces available by that date. If you have been selected to participate in the craft fair, our curators will notify you by October 18. If you are selected, the vendor fee will be added to your account as a balance due. You must be paid in full by October 28 or your spot will be released. PLEASE KNOW: in lieu of an item donation, we will be hosting a food drive to benefit the food pantry at the Zion Episcopal Church Village of Wappingers Falls, and also collecting pet food for Safe Haven Animal Rescue in Hopewell Junction. We ask that everyone bring a non-perishable food item to donate to one or both of these food drives.Set up will be both Friday, November 7 - 4pm to 6pm and Saturday, November 9 8am-10am; booths must be completely set up before the 10:00 am opening. Breakdown and cleanup no earlier than 3p.m. Two chairs per vendor will be provided but please know that we do not provide tables. Senior Art Class - Senior Art Instruction
“Art is for Everyone.” It’s fun! It’s colorful! It’s challenging! Improves observation! Promotes self esteem! Improves hand and mind coordination! It’s creative! It’s expressive! Many enjoy just looking at artwork. Others wish they could draw or paint to capture a special scene on paper or canvas. How many have said “I can’t draw a straight line?” Or “I could never paint a picture?”
Come to our Tuesday morning art class and try your hand at learning something new. All you need to bring is a sketch pad and pencil. Learn to draw using pencil, charcoal and other medium. Learn to use pen and ink, brush and ink, pastel, watercolor colored pencil. Learn how color can be used and how one color effects another. Learn to paint with acrylic, oil paint and watercolor. For those more advanced, learn new techniques, hone those skills. Explore the works of other artists, the Old Masters, Cartoonists, Modern Art, Ancient Art and Design.

Senior Citizen Bridge Club - Senior Citizen Bridge Club
Come play Bridge on Tuesdays at the Schlathaus Park Recreation Building, located on the corner of Myers Corners and All Angels Hill Road. Bridge is played by four players in two competing partnerships, with partners sitting opposite each other around a table. Millions of people play bridge worldwide in clubs, tournaments, online and with friends at home, making it one of the world's most popular card games, particularly among seniors. For purposes of scoring and reference, each player is identified by one of the cardinal directions and thus North and South play against East and West.

Semper Fi Mothers' Quilting Group - Semper Fi Mothers' Quilting Group
The Semper Fi Parents group of the Hudson Valley have a group that holds their meetings weekly at the Town of Wappinger Recreation Building at Schlathaus Park, located at the corner of Myers Corners and All Angels Hill Road. They have a group of quilters that meet to make quilts, quilts for the local military heroes, service members that were KIA and also we send quilt to the hospital in Germany through Soldiers Angels. This wonderful organization is always looking for folks to help. They need volunteers of all skill levels to take on the different tasks involved in the process of making quilts.
